Dr. Irene T. Brady:
Dr. Brady is a 1994 graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She holds a master's degree from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut and a bachelor's from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas. After practicing in Skowhegan, Maine and Dallas, Texas, she settled in Arizona at Best Friends since 1997. She is actively involved in the AVMA, AZVMA and American Heartworm Association. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, gardening and spending time participating in her children's busy lives. In addition to three children, Dr Brady has one dog, two cats, three sulcata tortoises, a corn snake and seven chickens.
Dr. Alison Widener:
Dr. Alison Widener was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She received her bachelor's degree from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Virginia. After graduation, she worked as a kennel technician and receptionist at a small animal hospital. She attended veterinary school at the University of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia and graduated in 2011. She spent her first two years in practice at a small animal hospital in rural Tennessee, before joining Best Friends Animal Hospital in the spring of 2014. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking and ceramics. Dr. Widener lives in Phoenix with her cat Ty Kitty.
